Gerd never had anything to do with Aero. They "stole" the Durango concept. That was subject of many discussion on here ...
I think it's fair to say that the layout of the car is tried and tested over years now but its something different to build and race a prototype (where it is no problem if something breaks) or to develop and sell a competitive KIT. I am quite sure
you would be the first to moan if you buy a new car and something breaks because it is not tested properly.
