Tbh, there are plenty of folks virtually giving away their old brushed ESCs - I'd have a look around in the For Sale forum for one. It'll work with the 540 motor in the Durga.
Looking at eBay, you can see
those Tamiya ESCs aren't worth a lot. Buying a new one burns £15 in value instantly.
