It's not a case of being allowed to run another event, they have refused due to the comments made. The person who was race director is my partner (who's ID this is) who also ran Jarrow last year and the chairman of Jarrow club.
Videos before and after more smoothing were done of 1/10th cars going around the track were submitted with the offer of holding a regional at NRX when the application was approved at the consortium meeting. I stood getting VERY cold in my own time taking the video so this was done! Oh yes, that means even more effort was made to ensure suitability and agreement of it's use!
As far as the comments so far, I didn't go because I was sick of the grief already. Some who voted against were not there (just in response to multiple comments) and many also do not use oople

I do wonder why people assume everyone does and the opinion on oople is considered so highly, very few made comments on the day - why?, the disrespect shown especially by those who have probably never held a club night nevermind a regional event is disgsuting!
When some people manage not to break cars and state the track was great to drive, I am unsure how the issues can be blamed entirely on a track......it's down to the way they drove it as the other cars which got round fine were not made of some unbreakable substance, they were the same cars.
I am in a way pleased NRX has pulled out of this, hundreds of hours put in by many people to be slated, however unfair it is on those who enjoyed the event I don't blame them at all and hope other clubs show their response to this disgraceful lack of respect in the same way! I see no reason why the club should make improvements to keep people happy who will never be happy and will twist on 21! Tell those who it seems only attend to moan about it on oople to go organise it themselves - see how they like it. Keep going like this and you won't have many regionals left to do. You already have several clubs reluctant or refusing to hold a regional event again for a sport which was already struggling to keep interest because of the attitude of attending racers. If you have a problem with something say it on the day!
Thanks to those who did appreciate the hours many, including those who don't race 1/10th, put in to make this possible it does mean a lot to these unpaid volunteers.
I am pleased the event cost some people under £100, it cost my family more than that just this week in fuel costs, missed work and other expenses

I wouldn't even like to try to add the total up, that was MY printer and MY paper, and MY ink cartridges you were using which I provided free (I have only mentioned this when people have mentioned costs are an issue, but don't seem to think about the true costs in this sort of event) but of course that doesn't matter we're not supposed to moan, just take grief! The club would have made more running a normal race day than this event.
I suppose we should suggest Jarrow should just do a flat grass track with bubble wrap around the ropes and no jumps, cotton wool to wrap the cars in, better still maybe a tarmac touring car track or would that be too hard? FFS get a grip! Off road isn't supposed to be flat or without challenges.
