Oswetsry Nationalm Potental starting set-up
Hi guys - without trawling through all the set-ups posted here I am posting my set-up for dry grass.
I raced at Oswestry BCL today and qualified 4th and finished 6th (2nd in the last 2nd leg and 9th in the 1st leg after breaking from 3rd on the last lap!)
The track was 100% grass with the exception of a large table-top in front of the rostrum. The track itself was quite large and we were completing 14 laps at around 21-22 second laps.
It is also the same grass that will be used for the National later on this season
Front suspension -
Track Washers - 1mm front and back
Roll Bar - No
Shock Position Mount - Middle
Shock Position Wishbone - Middle
Front Rake - 10 Degrees
Front Link Bracket - 44mm
Ditto Washers - 0mm
Washers on Hub - 0
Rear suspension -
Wheel Base - Short
Toe In - 3mm Rear, 1mm front = 2.6 degrees
Anti Squat Washers - 2mm Rear, 1mm Front = 1.3 degrees
Rear Link Bracket - 37.5mm
Washers - 4mm
Hub Position - Outer
Shock Position Mount - Middle
Shock Position Wishbone - Inside
Roll Bar - No

Front -
30wt on 2 Holes
Schumacher Blue Springs (old ones)
Diaphragm - Centre cut out and removed
Ride Height – Wishbones level
Rear -
25wt on 2 Holes
Schumacher Grey Springs (old ones)
Diaphragm - Centre cut out and removed
Ride Height – Wishbones level
Transmission-
Rear Diff Height - Low
Front Diff Height - Low
Layshaft Pulley - Pin Through
Front Drive – One way
Gearing – 23 x 83 on Speed Passion 5.5
Internal Ratio – 33/23 Tooth Pulleys (kit standard)
We initially started out with 25wt oil in the front but went up 5wt after Round 1 to try to give the car a bit more stability as the track was drying.
We also started off with the Standard Diff and changed to a one-way after Round 3 and to be fair never looked back.

Reason: Changed - Front Link Bracket from 43mm to 44mm and Rear Toe-In from 15mm to 1mm
