Why not a brushed ESC & motor. You would get outstanding top end stuff for very very cheap.

Brushless is a bit a fashion thing (I am a victim I know)

Brushless only advantage is the motor maintenance, but it is only valid for high power motor. Besides, the efficiency is much better on the ESC (the ESC doesn't need a heatsink & fan for heat produced), and equal efficiency on the motor for reasonable power motors (contrary to what some manufacturer's marketing pretends).

Try a brushed ESC + motor for (10£+2£) ... see trader corner on this site. You'll see later if you feel the requirement for brushless...
