Do you mean the little white tail that sticks out the end of the grey antenna cable is missing? One of mine is missing that and it pairs up fine.
I thought the receiver had 2 antenna systems, internal and external so surely it should pair up even if the cable was missing completely?
If you bought it off here and it does not work maybe you should name and shame on the feed back thread
