Its unfortunate that you broke the aerial mount on your chassis, the fix seems completely acceptable. Id recomend a small square of carpet tape to cover the hole from underneath tho.
As for the shell? I like the quality of your aerial hole, you could smoothen it up with a soldering iron
If it wasn't late, would you have been concerned more?
Did you check your watch first? What time does the concern stop?
A bit of black tape on the shell and nobody will tell anyway.
