I want to get a car thats going to be competitive but also somewhat forgiving and robust.
I was looking at the associated B44, does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Hi Andy.
I have run a Kyosho ZX5 (and the SP), an S4 and a Yok BX. People at our club use D4's, CAT SX, Pred's. (Amongst others)
Out of the box, the best car I have seen with little to no messing about on a both a bumpy and smooth grass track is the Hotbodies D4 and the Yok B-Max. I am very, very tempted to get one of the D4's. The Yok BX is good, but the regular diff maintenance is a pain in the rear. Also trying to get the back end to stick is also tricky.
The guy who runs the B-Max mainly does 2WD so I haven't seen too much of it, but what I have seen is pretty impressive, especially on the really bumpy terrain.
If I had to buy a new car tomorrow it would be between these -
HB - D4
Yok - BMax
Anyway, that's my tuppence worth. Hope some of it helps, Good luck
Edit - Oh yeah, this is all about 4WD.
