My Bantam BC6 does the same as yours. When the BC6 overheats it resets the unit to stop the charging process, and will continue to reset until the input supply (12v or 240v) is removed. Possibly resetting an internal timer.
I have found this to be a major problem on race day with limited space and constant charging. At the moment i place the charger in a cold place (i.e. on the floor) or near an open window for better cooling.
After reading the some of the other post i will take the advice and cut the case and add some fans !!
This problem aside i find the BC6 a good cost affective way of charging LIPO and NiMh cells.
