DaveG28 try yours, discharge your lipo to 6v and then try charging. see if yours does the samething at 5amps.
It may just be mine, but certainly does not fill me with confidence seeing as we have to be super safe when charging lipo's.
ps there is no way mine would cycle my 4900 trakpower lipo's without using a fan!!!
