But Ellis would not want different shocks on his 4wd to his 2wd, this would mean two lots of everything (springs, pistons, rebuilds, shock shafts etc) and two lots of differing settings for the same tracks (ie nationals). There IS nothing wrong with AE shocks but like in most teams we all follow the guy who is quickest (to copy him and his "dream" setups) in this case it is Ellis indeed and he uses Losi shocks. We can only use one set, we chooose to go the Losi route...
If Craggy for instance was to fit a "certain" part to his B4 to aid performance, the rest of the team would follow for sure, then so would all the paying public too, its just the nature of us racers.
He could have chose the route to fit his X5 with AE shocks instead, same differance but with years of experience from his days at Losi he felt more comfortable with Losi ones I guess. We have the same thing with the USA team, many of them at the moment have chose to run Kyosho shocks (all because BK is using them), but several drivers both here and across the water do still run AE shocks and they work just as good as they do on every B4 that is out there on the tracks today.
As for the driveshafts, its only a set of axles we use, dont even use Losi ones anymore, we have our own X=Factory axles - XF5660, thats all no complete driveshafts or anything
