Sorry, I got my firmware version numbers a bit mixed up lol. 1.17 was the latest version that's listed on the Mamba Max page, but 1.20 is the very latest release. It was actually originally meant for the Mamba Monster, but works beautifully on the Max too. For some reason it's not listed under the Mamba Max page, but it most certainly works. You'll need to download the latest version of CastleLink, and then you should see the 1.20 firmware available to update to under the one of the tabs.
Welshy, you're welcome. Yup, you just have to make sure the sensor cable gets tucked out of the way.
It sounds like perhaps you were geared a bit high as you say, as it should run a 4.5T motor without breaking a sweat.
