Its true, however you have to look at the product box and on mine it said to be used only with the Spectrum system. they do a standard one for standard radios as well.
Still it works well without glitching with the Futaba 3GR synth 40mhz radio even tho Novak did recommend me not to use it unless I had a spectrum.
