yes and no, with such cheap labour, it is hard for UK firms to compete against Asian firms, so even if you are giving the companies a Tax loophole so they can have lower overheads, to cheap land or rates, so the companies can be competitive. I worked in military aerospace for years, and the government sold us down the swanny, it employed thousands to maintain the COUNTRY's fleet of aircraft, and at a good price too, but that wasn't enough, always looking to save money, but happy to put billions into the NHS to watch it squandered.
