I agree with Richard about V2's handling the heat. I did 6 minutes at York before Christmas and mine came off reading 104 degrees C in my 4WD. Stripped it down over Christmas expecting to find lots of solder splatterd around inside. But No, all was fine just a skim needed!!

Anyway, I also think Checkpoints are now the best brushed motors on all fronts, speed, ease of maintainence etc etc... I skimmed, rebrushed and re-built a couple for someone at the last indoor regional. My next motor(s) will be definitely be Checkpoints for 2WD, 4WD and 19t Spec.
