I don't think it degrades so to speak. We had to change our calibration oils yearly due to contamination really. That and it was esier to buy new stuff with a cal cert than try and check what you had was still the same as it was a year previously.

I measured a few bottles of oil while I was there, and the only difference I found was that I had 1 or 2 wrongly labelled bottles of one manufacturers oil

BTW, I use Losi oil now
