All rear's are the same 2 and 4 wheel drive (size wise), 2 wheel drive have narrow fronts and then.....
so for ZX-5 you need 4 wheel drive fronts for the front and rears for the rear, and I would say "schumacher mini pins in yellow compound" to quote col. and some medium inserts, if you are racing a lot, tyres can seem like your major investment, you will soon have a few sets of wheels with different compounds of mini spike (green & yellow for outside) and yellow mini pins for carpet/wood floor inside. watch what others are running and ask, tyres are 80% plus of getting a good set up.
and yes the compound changes with manufacturer, shui green spikes are not to be confused with balistic green spikes etc, i am sure someone may be able to tell you how the compounds work, but, we use new shui yellow spike on dry grass, worn on dry astro and balistic green on wet grass/astro. We also try to remember to mark the inside of the wheel with the tyre compound, a few weeks after fitting when the little dot has worn off..............
Run what others are using and keep it simple.
