just upgraded to a 42 inch toshiba lcd, full 1080p ( ps3 and an upscaling dvd player ) and compared to my old 32 inch sony wega ( top of the line crt from 4 yrs ago ) its fantastic especialy as it was £550.
I did look at plasma but in my price range and max telly size I could fit in the living room nothing came close to the toshiba sound is a bit off but I have a full av system with a powered sub that shakes the whole house if required
its personal prefrence tbh anything over 46 inches plasma is probably better, I saw a 50 inch set that had amazing pic quality but at £2500 thats a bit mutch
