You're right - CRT tv's are the best picture quality by far. Some of the LCD's are truly shyte. I was working on an (unassociated) project with one of the lead electrical engineers behind the devlopment of LCD tv technology, I asked him what tv he had - CRT of course! He reckons the LCD picture is crap too. We had a laugh about this.
