Ive been running a losi 2.0 for 6 weeks now and know the car inside out. There are loads of changes from the first 8ight, the mosi important ones seem to be the revised rear suspension and longer chassis which definately makes the car much more stable. The other changes are tweaks and revisions and all of the plastic is made from another material which is much darker in colour. The losi changes direction so quickly and jumps so well it drives like no other car. I also run an xray 808 which is easier to drive than the losi but isnt ultimately as quick but in wet weather or low grip its a better bet.
As for spares, the most important things to have with you are clutch bearings. Clutch shoes last 5+ meetings depending on what engine, springs, thumb your using so you should have an idea when they need changing its not going to suddenly lose drive. But clutch bearings dont last long, i use one set for qualifying then change them for finals. If they collapse you end your race and kill your spur and clutch bell.
Also if your looking for somewhere more central to race this sunday Deerdale is on which is just south of blyth services on the A1. Its just a little north of worksop. Track is all astro and really good, they get good entries for the winter series too.
Jimmi.
