depends on the track and how bumpy it is..take the nook track for instance,you would get beaten to death driving an electric around there as its so bumpy,on a smooth track there wouldnt be much in it but i think an electric would come out on top.
you dont have to know much about engines,they are pretty bulletproof now and once the engine is set it needs very little tuning when the air pressure changes a lot,besides,theres always someone willing to lend a hand at rallycross.
