I'd also go with a brushless.
Purely because of the value.
Just think, you buy a mod motor (£60) spare brushes (about £4) Thats £64.

You give you're motor a good caning. Its been trashed, and needs a skim. You wither buy a lathe. Thats £150. Or you get someone else to do it at £3-6 a go.
So get as brushless, and you get a better motor, which is more efficeinet
