Dick Cheney, former CEO and major share holder of Haliburton advises Bush to invade Iraq, one of the most oil rich countries in the world.

Haliburton is very involved in oil... and also who also got billions worth of supply contracts in Iraq... Haliburton. Dick Cheney profited hugely from it, as did the whole of the administration. Anyone who doesn't think the war was about oil is blind.

One of my brothers used to work for Haliburton, and when the war was first proposed he said straight away it was about oil while people were still talking about WMDs. America has nowhere near enough oil to sustain itself, so has to rely on states that aren't exactly friendly to it. So Iraq not only gives the administration money, but helps ensure their energy supply for the future.

We have the Falklands, plenty of oil there for when the North Sea runs out (though it's deep and hard rock and horrible ocean, but when there is enough demand...).

We can't just pull out of Iraq, it needs to be carefully planned. So I agree with the above also.

Anyone notice this on BBC website:

I can't believe I share fears with Murdoch
