after talking to lewis and northy all i did was to move the front post just behind its original mount and then bring the battery strap straight back to allow for the extra lenth of the lipo. i have used my own version of thumbsrew style mount on the front but on the back i have had to use the kit mount due to the proximity to the half height servo, the thumb screw also allows you to clamp the lipo down nice and tight if you want to

i used a standard battery strap double sided on the centre spine to space the lipo away from the propshaft. note that i have had to trim it down slightly to allow room for the hole for the sensor wire on the side shown due to the old ariel mount.
