That's pretty much what I was thinking. As I'm using the XLS as a donor I'm somewhat constrained by the belt lengths. The short drive belts are too short to give a long enough rear suspension arm, so I'm going to turn the whole thing around and use them at the front, then having the long drivebelt on a very long suspension arm running alongside most of the chassis.

Although this sounds very wierd, it will have the benefit of the actual structural part of the chassis being very short and therefore very stiff. Providing I can make the long suspension arm stiff enough, it could work quite well.

I'll endeavour to get some sketches posted up soon to make the above a bit clearer.
