If you left everything else identical, the 4-cell car would actually last longer. But it would be a lot slower.
As far as balance goes, the car is currently overweight on the battery side, a motor weighs about 150g, electronics around 100g total, but a pack of 4200's weigh about 400g (65g per cell).
Why would you want to run 4 or 5-cells? I did't think any of the discussions about 4 or 5 cell rules applied to off-road?
