I have been doing research. Monster RC has a conversion kit, Castle Creations has the Monster Mamba 1/8 scale ESC, there are a bunch of available motors with 5mm shafts that can be used. This is only the begining. I will wait for the losi conversion kit to come out. I plan on using a Neu Motors Brushless motor. I am undecided on the speed control. Will probably use Max amps 14.8v battery.
A guy at my local track is using a Tekin R1 pro ESC with added capacitors to clean up in the 1/8th scale buggy class. Really fast. i can't wait!
