I did actually intend to imply there was a 5 ampere charging limit for both LiPo and NiMH. But when I read it back, you were absolutely right. It reads like I say there is only a limit for LiPo. So I have added a line which hopefully clarifies to the reader. Thanks for that, I really appreciate it and I wouldn't probably have noticed for a while.

It's odd you have overheating issues with yours. I run touring car down a very small carpet track with very few people, and for that reason my charger never stops for a couple of hours as there is little time between heats (only 2-4 heats). Last couple of weeks BC6 coped with NiMH at 5A with no heating problems, and I've just got back a few minutes ago using LiPo all night, only 2 heats so again my charger was always charging, and no issue. I wonder what is causing it for you.
