The Losi shocks are good (ages better than Associated), but I'm leaning towards the latest gen of Kyosho, Tamiya, and Yokomo shocks being the best available now. The XX4 is great handling car, not because of the shocks, but because of the geometry - which ironically uses TRUCK rear shocks (1.2"). So if you want to use Kyosho shocks in the rear, you'll have to wait for that RT-5...
