depends on what you class as local club racing. round our way a quick change of springs tyres and motor and they are competetive in my local club but then that is with stock motors on polished wood. for out side racing, there were a couple at a recent regional and they were more competetive than the standard durgas and other simlar cars were but i wouldnt expect to turn up at a regional with a standard one and put it in the A final either, they are what they say on the box ie a good starter 4wd buggy that is upgradable to full team spec if needed
