Right, just finished building my Double slipper clutch, and what a clever design indeed.
Right, here we go, the outer plate drives the layshaft, which in turn, is connected to the front belt pullet. The inner plate is, in turn, connected to the rear belt pulley, the rear pulley hub sits on a bearing, which sits on the laysheft, so it is supported but is able to rotate at a different speed to the layshaft.
So, in effect, it is a slipper which can slip the front and rear belts seperately..... see how it goes on the weekend me thinks....
