Good point Lee!

My thoughts is that a plastic car can pick up more overall grip and be more forgiving. And definately be just as fast. Probably it'll take more abuse as well. Alu is not only stiffer but normally also heavier than plastic.

But if you can afford it you will buy more and more bling. That's just the way it is... It's much more fun/interesting to work on a car that looks state of the art. We are all "race drivers" remember. Not kids playing around with toys.

You could just buy all cheap clothes also. And wear only one type every day. But how cool would that be?

The best drivers are the best drivers no matter what car they drive.
