Well, peak voltage on charge isn't really relevant, what is relevant is the voltage under load, and despite their higher nominal voltage (7.4 vs 7.2), LiPos aren't really giving any better voltage under load than NiMHs are right now.
What I am trying to say is that 7.4V LiPos are totally fine in any 7.2V application.
