Ulzanna's Raid - a 1972 film starring Burt Lancaster about Indians who break out of the reservation and go on a killing and torture spree. It is graphic and scary!

Soldier Blue - a 1970 film starring Peter Strauss, Donald Pleasance and Candice Bergen, a graphic and devastating portrayal of the massacre of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians by the Colorado State Militia on the Colorado Plains in the 1870s.

What makes both of these so scary is that they depict real events; that this is what man does to man. There is nothing artificial about the story, the people or the events, yet they were both shocking to everyone in their time. In both, just when oyu think you've seen it all, it gets worse!
