And it may be just as good to not be sponsored as you say. As long as you can afford it then you can choose whatever equipment you want to use. And you don't have the pressure. Just race and have fun!
Btw. have you tried racing trucks? Those are very very stable & easy to drive. Can be a good idea to start with that for practise. Have you considered a T4?
