Oh and what upgrades are availble for the rb5 and which are recommended
The Kyosho cars are very well supported for spares now and I'd say that all the good model shops carry the Kyosho range. I get most of my racing kit as a whole from Dom @ DC Racing including my Kyosho stuff and have never had a problem with availability ..... well only when the problem has been out of his hands with FDL.

Where are you racing?

The reason I ask is that it'll make a difference to what you need for the car.

Assuming your UK based........

Springs wise you'll need #70 silver fronts (2 pairs so you can cut one pair) and aside from the kit #70 silver rears I would get the #68 and #72 purple and blue springs.
It might be worth getting a full set of yellow springs in case you need to soften things up a little.
If your running indoors on carpet get the #75 light green fronts and the #80 green rears

As far as upgrades are concerned I would recomend the following

Atomic Carbon rear tower
Ceramic diff balls
Ti turnbuckls

I would also consider the wider rear end (la243 arms and 65.5mm driveshafts) although that is a personal preference thing and not necessary.

Hope that helps
