If you want a good photoshop equivalent, you need a programme called "GIMP". Stupid name, awesome software. Just as powerful as photoshop, perhaps a little harder to use.... but it's free!

It's a multi-platform programme, designed for Linux (where I use it) but works perfectly fine on windows. Make sure you download the windows version though. Great tutorials here:
