Have had a thought in regards of tyre wear, there is very little tarmac on the infield (if any) but it seems to be the straight thats the killer. A question for Alan, Andy, Johno or somebody from the club who racers up at Greasly and may be in the know. Is there a old role of carpet knocking about? If we could have a role on the straight it would make the track a lot more freindly on tyres. [QUOTE]

if when you start your runs you dont start on the edge of the astroturf to be closer to the loop then wheelspin all the way down the start straight on the first lap is a major factor every other lap you are at half speed
if you start a bi further back it may help
