That is true assuming that the wishbones are torsionally stiff enough to maintain there geometry under load but I've never come across a moulded wishbone that I can twist torsionally ..... the best are probably the Tamiya 501X parts then the RB5 fronts.
The statement is based on experiences of moving shocks around on several cars and may well be nothing more than a placebo effect within my mind but on each occassion the car has seemed to react to sharp ruts and bumps better.
