Out of habit from building the B4/T4 diffs, I "broke-in" (compressed a few times) the slipper spring on my B44 before installing it. The length of the slipper spring shortened substantially compared to the "unbroken-in" condition. As far as I had felt, the slipper on my B44 had worked consistently after tightening it to my liking.
