AK - sorry, I posted this on that 'other' forum, but i should help you on my own forum instead

If the dampers are 'squeaking' excessively then you need more oil in the shocks, but yes they might well squeak a little even when properly filled. Just drive faster and no one will know

I think I have 2 orings in the rear and it's not too high. Outdoors I am running with the threaded adjuster all the way at the top - which seems a good height. Indoors I was running with no adjuster and the springs resting at the top of the shock bodies.. I know this isn't ideal but it's the only way. No point limiting your shocks more without taking the adjusters off or you're creating a pre-loaded spring.

The shocks aren't too long btw, more like the rear tower is too short - I realise this is no comfort but it's a fact that the suspension is based off the 501X but they made the rear tower several mm lower than on that car. Not much you can do about this right now to be honest as there are no options available - unless you buy the 3Racing rear tower and get a new higher upper piece made.

Edit: I didn't try it, but my friend built a nice Durga with the 501X shocks but since he's a little obsessive about details he doesn't do silly things like leave ride height adjusters off, or cut springs. He showed me his car with I beleive short durga kit shock bottom rod ends - which reduced the length of the shocks enough that he didn't need limiters in the shocks. I only saw the car for a minute and didn't exactly take notes so I can't confirm anything - but maybe it's worth looking at changing the rod at the bottom (and maybe even the spring cup if there's another in the kit - should be two)
