If the car is in good condition then keep it and upgrade.
All you NEED is to get the LAW35 kit to convert the car to SP geometry which is the biggest and most important change ...... makes the car truely world class. Not sure on the cost but around the £60 mark IIRC.
If you sell the KMC chassis and go back to the stock one you will get a better handling car, the ability to share set-ups with the rest of us ZX5-SP runner and probalby have enough cash to cover the LAW35 kit.
I am not sure how you managed to get the tripple cap shock upgrade to leak though. I hav enow built about 6 sets of these (4 for me, 2 for friends) and can honestly say, hand on heart, that they are the smoothest, easiest to build and most leak free shocks I have every built in any scale of RC.
