I thought the 501X WE used 37t diff pulleys like the DB01 Durga. There is a gear chart on oople somewhere.
I have a 5.5T brushless in my DB01 (91t / 18t / 37t) and ran it with a 14t. Manufacturers ratio is 13:1 and TBH it struggled with the 14, getting hot and still trying to accelerate at the end of the straight. Unfortunately a 13t wouldn't fit and so I ended up going back to a 14t and refitting the old 7.5T motor. Moral = the gearing on these cars is weird and a lot of experienced racers will tell you you are using too small a pinion when in fact if anything it may be too big!
