Yeah, once assembled the diff is the same width as standard. I used the plastic outdrives on my 501 all last year so I just swapped them over.
Only problem is you can't use them with the 37t pulley because they use the smaller diff rings but this isn't a problem for me as I use the the white 36t pulley to overdrive the front anyway
