I never met David but saw him at a few kart meetings as I believe he had a good relationship with the Scottish karters like Susie Stoddart, etc.
I was particularly impressed with his knowledge during commentating for Eurosport (?) whether it was touring cars or endurance racing.
It is a shame about the loss of Richard Lloyd too as he has such a huge reputation within motorsport circles.
The plane crash has affected me greater as it occurred less than half a mile from my house!
