you can still buy fuel cheaper than water.... and considering what it goes through before it gets to the pumps, it isn't bad.... it is the fact that the government still has you over the barrel and are due to stick another 2p tax on it (plus the added VAT that the 2p induces).
As for fuel, the Labour party weren't exactly keen to drop the Fuel Escelator that the Conservatives brought in..... and as a fact, when I started riding a motorbike, it was £1.65 a gallon. I also think that if they went back to measuring payment in gallons, it would shock more people, as a 2p tax hike would stick up petrol by 9p a gallon....
Just remember, as an owner of a vehicle, you are an easy cash cow for the chancellor.
