The fastest system but, yes, big receivers. No aerial neede tho' 
2. Spektrum modules (but do these have too much lag if I use themin my futaba stick?)
Spektrum Pro offers a micro RX and will be as fast as 3VC in PPM mode. All other Spektrum systems have large receiver.

I think Acoms are doing a 2.4ghz set but no idea what its like.
Does anyone find problems with Spektrum? I read somewhere it can allow too high a voltage to the servo, but not sure if that's true?
If you use a digital servo you'll have no trouble, there are mixed reports of analogue servos which range from inconsistant centering to melting
