Cheers Bud, yeah tough one as I would love to see it running again and race it but as you said once you start making it a runner or use it for vintage racing it will lose all of its charm of literally being as it was when I stopped racing with it 29 - 30 years ago.
I guess it's like barn find/ totally original classic cars vs full on restoration, there only ever original once!!
Love your suggestion on creating a replica and go racing with that one which something I should really do and could use one of the other 870c's needing restoration to perform that task.
