I think the L is actually lighter not just in name.

I think the LRP motors are a touch lighter than brushed.

I would certainly still add the weight to the usual place in the B4, weight in the motor is in a very different place to the weight that is added in front of the gearbox, they are both 'at the back' but the gearbox weight is actually in front of the rear wheels.

so basically, always add the weight, then use the big/big spur/pinion or small/small spur pinion to 'balance' the motor similar to someones setup you want to copy. heavy motor use small/small light motor use big/big
