The process is the same when dipping put sticky side down then dip shell. then relevant base coat. The colour is as good as doing it on the outside if not better as the shine you get from the clear...

If you referring to the film just same prosess but clean inside of shell mask were needed and dipp the shell as normal then apply the required base then I just put a white backer coat on...
